The position of software employees has come under a huge threat lately. With software companies suffering huge losses the employees are bound to feel a bit insecure with their jobs. Leading software industry TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) accentuated this feeling very recently by asking a few of it’s employees to look for other jobs.
TCS on Tuesday made a shocker of a decision. TCS spokesman Pradipta Bagchi informed the media that, “Those who cannot meet the performance requirements of our company were asked to look for another job commensurate with their abilities”.
TCS is known for its huge head count and it employs freshers in bulks. It appointed 4037 employees in the quarter which ended on the 31st of December. Its headcount went to 108,229. Though TCS has been getting large outsourcing contracts, it’s profits have been affected due to the rise in value of the rupee compared with the dollar.
